New Mob Psycho 100 Art Celebrates Mob’s Birthday

Mob Psycho 100 recently announced that the third anime season will arrive in October, which would make the whole fall season for the anime medium as the young esper’s story set to join the likes of Bleach, My Hero Academia and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, all of whom should return. Now, to help celebrate Mob’s birthday on May 12, series creator ONE has released new art that shows the young psychic celebrating his birthday alongside some of the other major players in this unique animated franchise.

Mob Psycho 100 has already wrapped up its manga, with the final chapter in the stands in 2017, meaning this third season is likely the last for the gang of psychics and the supernatural threats they tend to encounter. While this may be the last time we follow Mob’s life via the animated adaptation, Studio Bones’ series is sure to go out with a bang if it keeps pace with the high school esper’s story. . With Bones also working on the sixth season of my hero academiawhich is also coming this fall, the animation house certainly seems to be ramping up production.

The new image was released to help celebrate Mob’s birthday on May 12, the day also seeing the arrival of the announcement that the third season would arrive later this fall and helping to make one of the most major fall anime seasons in recent memory:

“Kageyama Shigeo, aka “Mob”, is a boy who finds it difficult to express himself, but happens to be a powerful esper. Mob is determined to live a normal life and keep his ESP suppressed, but when his emotions reach A level of 100%, something terrible happens to him! Surrounded by false espers, evil spirits and mysterious organizations, what will Mob think? What choices will he make?
