Drake wears scrubs in DJ Khaled’s “Staying Alive” music video

That’s Dr. Graham for you. Drake stars as a neurosurgeon in DJ Khaled’s new “Staying Alive” music video, and seeing him in scrub gear sets us up for a full body exam. The visual, which also features Lil Baby, is set at the fictional Khaled Khaled Hospital, where doctors and nurses carry red Solo cups, throw shots of tequila, and smoke hookah. It wouldn’t be our first choice for emergency medical care, but hey, the facility seems to be throwing one hell of a party.

The video could serve as a “Grey’s Anatomy” audition for Drake, who walks around the chaotic setting with a clipboard in hand and a stethoscope draped over his shoulders like a seasoned pro at Gray Sloan Memorial. Someone else’s heart rate just went up?

The lead single from DJ Khaled’s 13th studio album, “Staying Alive”, interpolates the 1977 Bee Gees hit of the same name and credits all three band members as writers. Ahead of the song and video’s release, DJ Khaled teased his collaborators characters on Instagram, featuring Drake as the head of neurosurgery, Lil Baby as the head of cardiothoracic surgery, and himself as the head of the general surgery.

“Welcome to ‘Khaled Khaled Hospital – for those who didn’t believe it’,” he wrote. “Mission Statement: We represent the future of medicine. Our surgical residents are at the top of their class, our highly decorated physicians are at the top of their field, and our equipment is simply state-of-the-art. We are here to make sure you’re always #StayingAlive.”
